Our Team

Andy & Lori Severein
In early October of 2016, We had the privilege of buying the former Blank's Service Center in Gap, PA. After making some changes to the property and preparing for a fresh start, we officially launched our very own business in December of 2016.
The process that preceded the opening of the shop was one that required much time and energy, but we are so grateful for the support and encouragement our community has offered us as we've taken on this new responsibility. We look forward to serving you in the years ahead!
Andy Severein
Owner
Andy’s journey into the automotive industry began with a simple love for working on cars. In high school, that passion led him to take a job in a repair shop, where he quickly realized that automotive work wasn’t just about fixing vehicles — it was about helping people. What started as a part-time job became the foundation for a lifelong calling to build something meaningful, trustworthy, and community-focused.
One of the most powerful reminders of why this work matters for Andy is the ability to help someone out of a difficult situation that could have had a major impact on their life. Whether it’s keeping a family safe, helping someone get to work, or giving a customer peace of mind in a stressful moment, he finds purpose in knowing the shop can turn someone’s day — or even their week — around.
Outside the shop, Andy enjoys traveling and tinkering with his many toys. Whether he’s exploring somewhere new or working on a project in the garage, he carries the same curiosity and hands-on spirit that first drew him into the industry.
What Andy loves most about leading Andrews Auto is seeing the positive impact the shop can have — not only on customers, but on employees and the entire community. Watching his team grow, supporting their development, and building a culture that lifts people up is what truly inspires him. Under Andy’s leadership, Andrews Auto has become more than a repair shop — it’s a place where excellence, care, and character shape everything that happens inside its walls.

Lori Severein
Owner, Office Manager
Lori’s journey into the automotive industry began when she and her husband purchased Andrews Auto. What started as a new chapter in their lives quickly became a full-time calling. She first stepped in as the front desk scheduler, learning the rhythms of the shop and building relationships with customers from day one. Over time, her passion for people and her commitment to excellence led her into her current role doing a lot of behind-the-scenes administrative work.
For Lori, the most rewarding moments come every time a customer expresses how thankful they are to have found an honest, reliable repair shop—one that treats them with respect and genuinely cares about their experience. Hearing that kind of appreciation reminds her why the work matters and fuels her desire to keep improving the ways Andrews Auto serves the community.
Outside the shop, Lori loves spending time with her family—especially with her grandchildren. Whether she’s traveling with her husband or enjoying time with friends and loved ones, she values relationships above all.
Lori is incredibly proud of the close-knit team at Andrews Auto. She believes the culture they’ve built—one that feels more like family than coworkers—is what truly sets the shop apart.
Nate Severein
Shop Manager
Nate’s love for the automotive world started at home. His dad worked on cars for most of his life, and Nate grew up right beside him, picking up tools, learning hands-on skills, and developing a genuine interest in how things worked. That early exposure sparked a passion that never went away, eventually leading him into the industry himself.
One of the most rewarding parts of Nate’s work is the experience of helping people — taking something stressful and turning it into something positive. Any time he can use his skills to solve a problem and create a memorable experience for a customer, it reminds him why he chose this career in the first place.
Outside the shop, Nate spends most of his time with his wife and kids or tinkering in his garage. Whether it’s working on cars or motorcycles, he’s happiest when he’s turning wrenches and staying hands-on.
What Nate loves most about being part of Andrews Auto is the culture. The bond among the team is unmatched, and the family-like atmosphere makes every day enjoyable. For Nate, it’s more than a job — it’s a place he’s proud to be a part of.

Brian Peterson
Service Manager
Brian’s connection to the automotive industry goes back to childhood, when he knew two things early on: he wanted to help people, and he wanted to learn how things worked — especially cars. That combination naturally led him toward a career where problem-solving, service, and curiosity all come together. As he grew, so did his desire to make a real impact in people’s lives, which eventually brought him into leadership at Andrews Auto.
One of the most meaningful parts of Brian’s work is knowing he plays a role in keeping families safe. There’s a unique satisfaction in being the person people turn to when they need guidance, clarity, or reassurance about their vehicle. Every time a customer expresses relief, confidence, or gratitude, it reinforces why this work matters and why he pours so much into doing it well.
Outside the shop, Brian spends his time with family, cooking, or serving at his church. Whether it’s at home, at work, or in the community, he invests deeply in people and relationships.
What Brian loves most about being part of the Andrews Auto team is the pride that comes with representing the shop. He enjoys being out in the community and hearing people recognize the Andrews Auto name or seeing someone notice his hat or sweatshirt. Knowing that the team’s hard work has built that kind of reputation is something he never takes for granted.
Jim McCardell
Jim entered the automotive industry shortly after high school, during a time when he wasn’t sure what direction he wanted to take. Working on his Camaro with friends had sparked an interest in cars, and that hands-on experience led him to enroll in automotive trade school. What began as a practical next step soon turned into a true passion for helping people.
For Jim, the most meaningful part of his work is knowing he plays a role in keeping people safe. He loves serving others, and he feels genuinely blessed each time a customer leaves confident that their vehicle was repaired properly. Whether someone is heading to work, taking a road trip, or simply trying to get home to their family, Jim takes pride in offering peace of mind and ensuring they can travel wherever they need to go safely.
When he’s not at the shop, Jim enjoys working around the house, tackling yard work, and dreaming about his next flounder-fishing trip. He likes staying active and always has a project or plan in motion.
What Jim appreciates most about being part of Andrews Auto is the camaraderie. He considers Andy, Lori, and the entire team to be some of the most caring and incredible people he’s ever worked with—people who genuinely care about one another and the customers they serve. To Jim, the shop feels less like a workplace and more like a family he’s proud to belong to.

Fred Swope
Fred’s journey into the automotive industry began behind the wheel. He spent years driving truck for a Goodyear warehouse that also housed an auto repair center, and being around the shop every day sparked his interest in the service side of the industry. Over time, he found himself drawn to the communication, problem-solving, and customer-facing side of the work—leading him naturally into the Service Advisor role.
One experience that really solidified his love for the job involved a family traveling from New Jersey whose truck broke down unexpectedly. Fred helped guide them through the situation, coordinated the repair, and ensured the vehicle was ready for them the next day. Seeing their relief and appreciation reminded him how important it is to be the person customers can depend on when they’re far from home and stressed.
When he’s not in the shop, Fred enjoys spending time with his family—whether it’s camping, enjoying the outdoors, or watching his grandkids’ sporting events. Those moments recharge him and keep his people-first approach strong.
What Fred loves most about Andrews Auto is the team culture. Working alongside coworkers who support each other and make the job enjoyable is something he values every day.
Shannon Bischoff
Shannon entered the automotive industry at a time of transition in her life. An unexpected opportunity opened up in the automotive field — and she decided to take a chance on it. What began as a new start quickly became a meaningful career built around helping people through some of their most stressful moments.
One of the experiences that reminds Shannon why her work matters is being able to support customers during difficult situations. Whether someone is facing an unexpected breakdown or navigating a repair they don’t fully understand, Shannon takes pride in providing trust, clarity, and reassurance in a field where those things can often feel lacking. Being able to help people feel safe, informed, and cared for is what makes the job truly fulfilling for her.
Outside the shop, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her cats. Whether relaxing at home or connecting with loved ones, she values the simple, grounding moments that bring balance to life.
What Shannon loves most about being part of the Andrews Auto team is the camaraderie and the genuine, family-like atmosphere. Working alongside people who support one another and show real care — both for the team and for the customers — is something she deeply appreciates.

Andrew Proctor
Andrew’s passion for the automotive world began with a deep curiosity about how things work. That natural interest led him to fixing small engines, learning hands-on skills, and eventually working on his own cars. Over time, that mechanical understanding — combined with his ability to explain and guide others — made the Service Advisor role a perfect fit.
For Andrew, some of the most meaningful moments in his career have come from helping people through situations they couldn’t solve on their own. Whether it’s diagnosing an issue, breaking down a repair in a way a customer can easily understand, or easing the stress of an unexpected breakdown, he loves being able to make a real difference. Any time he helps someone find clarity, peace of mind, or a safe way forward, it reminds him why he loves what he does.
Outside the shop, Andrew spends most of his time with his loved ones. Whether he’s fishing, working on cars, attending his kids’ sporting events, or just enjoying family time, those moments are what keep him grounded.
What Andrew appreciates most about being part of the Andrews Auto team is the integrity that defines the shop. He loves being part of a workplace where honesty, character, and doing the right thing aren’t just values — they’re everyday practices lived out across the team.
Frank McLaughlin
Frank’s passion for the automotive industry started early. His grandfather taught him the fundamentals of working on vehicles, and that hands-on guidance stuck with him and helped shape his career.
One moment that solidified why this work matters happened when a customer was stranded out of town with a truck that wouldn’t start. Frank was given the opportunity to diagnose the issue remotely and help them get back on the road safely. Seeing the impact of his knowledge in a real-life crisis reminded him how meaningful this profession can be.
When he’s not at the shop, Frank enjoys spending time with his family and exploring one of his favorite hobbies, photography. His favorite way to unwind is riding and working on his Harley.
What Frank loves most about Andrews Auto is the culture. He appreciates being part of a team with owners that truly invests in their employees, helping them grow not just professionally, but personally as well.

Evan Johns
Evan’s interest in the automotive world began long before he ever stepped into a professional shop. He grew up working on dirt bikes, four-wheelers, tractors, and trailers with his dad — learning hands-on, problem-solving skills from a young age. That early foundation eventually led him to pursue automotive technology in school, where he discovered a deeper passion for diagnostics and electrical work.
One milestone that stands out for Evan is the first time he successfully diagnosed a PCM issue. It was the moment everything he’d learned — from classes, training, and real shop experience — clicked together. Being able to apply those skills to solve a complex electrical problem for the first time confirmed for him that he was exactly where he belonged.
When he’s not at Andrews Auto, you’ll usually find Evan outdoors. He enjoys riding and racing dirt bikes, fly fishing, hunting, and trapping — anything that lets him work with his hands and stay connected to the things he loves.
For Evan, the best part of being on the Andrews Auto team is the people. He appreciates the coworkers he gets to work with each day and the family-like atmosphere that makes the shop feel more like a community than just a workplace.
Dylan Garver
Dylan’s interest in the automotive world started when he was young. He spent his childhood watching his uncle work on cars, following him around the garage and doing whatever small tasks he could just to be part of it — even if it was something as simple as holding a flashlight. Those early experiences sparked a passion that’s stayed with him ever since.
One of the moments that reminds Dylan why this work matters most is when a customer is stranded or in a tough spot — maybe on a trip, short on time, or trying to get home — and he’s able to get them back on the road quickly. Seeing the relief on their face, the smile that follows, and the genuine thankfulness they express makes him feel good about the impact he can have on someone’s day and even their life.
Outside the shop, Dylan enjoys spending time with his family and going on small trips or spontaneous adventures. He loves exploring new places, making memories, and taking advantage of any chance to get away and enjoy life.
What Dylan loves most about Andrews Auto is the people. He describes it as the most caring and respectful workplace he’s ever been part of. It doesn’t feel like “just another job” because the team has fun together, supports each other, and genuinely cares about everyone’s well-being. For Dylan, it feels more like a family than a workplace — and that’s what makes it special.

Andrew ‘Mur’ Murray
Mur’s path into the automotive industry wasn’t planned — it was born out of necessity. Growing up with old cars that constantly needed work, he didn’t have the money to pay a mechanic every time something broke. So he learned to fix things himself. What started as survival slowly turned into skill, and skill eventually turned into a career. Along the way, he discovered he actually enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing problems and getting vehicles back on the road.
One moment that stands out for Mur was the day his mother’s car developed a transmission fluid leak while she was traveling. He happened to be in the area, was able to find the part she needed, and replaced it before her long trip home. Knowing he helped keep her safe on the road — and prevented what could have been a major issue — reminded him why this line of work matters.
Outside the shop, Mur enjoys relaxing and spending time with his dogs. It’s his way of unwinding from the fast pace of automotive work.
What Mur loves most about being part of Andrews Auto is the identity and belonging he feels here. He takes pride in being “one of the Andrews” — part of a team that supports each other and works together like family.
Andrew ‘Whitty’ Whitman
Whitty has always been curious about how things work, especially cars. That curiosity turned into a passion when he bought a fixer-upper ’96 Jeep Cherokee. The more he dug into it, the more he discovered things he could repair himself — and each new lesson sparked even more excitement. Before long, working on cars became more than a hobby; it became something he truly loved and wanted to pursue.
One moment that stands out for Whitty involved a close friend who was traveling up from the South and got into an accident on her way. She didn’t know what to do next, but Whitty was able to inspect her vehicle, help her understand the damage, and get her safely back home. That experience made a deep impact on him. He realized how overwhelming car trouble can be — and how meaningful it is to have someone knowledgeable step in and help. Being that person for others is a big part of why he values this work.
When Whitty’s not at the shop, he’s either reading, working out, or under a hood — whether it’s his own car or helping out friends and family. He enjoys learning, improving, and staying active in anything that keeps his mind and hands engaged.
What Whitty loves most about Andrews Auto is the safe, supportive environment the team has built. He appreciates having a place where learning is encouraged and doing things the right way matters — even if it takes extra time and effort. Being surrounded by people who care about quality and integrity makes the work truly meaningful for him.

Michael Powers
Mikey’s passion for cars started early. He grew up fascinated by anything with an engine, and that curiosity naturally evolved into a desire to work on vehicles himself. That love for cars eventually pushed him into the automotive world, where turning wrenches became more than a hobby — it became a career.
One experience that really reminded Mikey why this work matters happened when a family on vacation found themselves stuck with an emergency flat tire. They were far from home and trying to get back safely, but had no idea what to do next. Mikey stepped in, handled the repair, and got them back on the road quickly. Seeing their stress turn to relief — and knowing he played a part in getting them home safely — reinforced the impact this work can have on people’s lives.
When he’s not in the shop, Mikey is usually working on his own car, figuring things out, experimenting, and constantly improving it. It’s where his passion and creativity come alive.
What Mikey loves most about being part of Andrews Auto is the team he gets to work with every day. Being surrounded by great people who support each other and share the same drive makes the shop feel like the right place to grow and thrive.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys staying active and spending time with his dogs.
